Scott Garlock Photography is proud to announce the North Carolina Museum of History's website announcement of an upcoming Photography Exhibit featuring Scott's well known images of old abandoned southern homesteads. In the planning stages for many months it is very exciting to see all the parties involved efforts to further the preservation of North Carolina's rural abandoned homesteads come to fruition is this special exhibit.
This photography exhibition at The North Carolina Museum of History will showcase photographer Scott Garlock’s evocative images of old and abandoned buildings in northeastern and eastern North Carolina. Educational programming and multi media components will also be used. These storehouses of memories dot our landscape, continuously observing cycles of planting and harvest, having witnessed their inhabitants’ departure from the countryside.
