Lost Soul

"Lost Soul" Through tortured wood, torn asunder by the hands of nature, memories of departed souls once infused in broken walls have long evaporated into infinity, gone forever. (2015)

Photographers Notes - During our most recent snowfall, I visited the much maligned Cannon House in Warren County NC. Considered by many as the oldest if not one of the oldest structures in the county, it has been left in the sole custody of nature and has suffered irreparable deterioration. In the very near future it's field stone chimneys will soon act as monolithic headstones for what once was and what could've been.
